Imperatives in English are used to give commands or orders.
There are two ways to use them, direct and indirect.
Ej: Para dar ordenes como:
Sientate - Presta atencion - No enciendas el foco
Direct way: In the direct way, the person is transmitting the message
Indirect way: In the indirect form it is one person who says what the other person transmits
EXAMPLES
Present simple:
Direct: I like ice cream
Indirect: She said that she liked ice cream
You must take into account the verb tense of the sentence, that will determine the style to which you want to change the sentence.
Past simple:
Directo: I bought a car
Indirect: He said that he bought a car
