IMPERATIVES

Imperatives in English are used to give commands or orders.

There are two ways to use them, direct and indirect.

Ej: Para dar ordenes como:

Sientate - Presta atencion - No enciendas el foco

Direct way:  In the direct way, the person is transmitting the message

Indirect way: In the indirect form it is one person who says what the other person transmits

EXAMPLES

Present simple:

Direct: I like ice cream

Indirect: She said that she liked ice cream

You must take into account the verb tense of the sentence, that will determine the style to which you want to change the sentence.

Past simple:

Directo: I bought a car

Indirect: He said that he bought a car
